About Avant Garde

Avant Garde was started in 1998 by a group of art-loving young professionals. Their vision was to introduce the Tampa Museum of Art to others within their demographic.

The Avant Garde Steering Committee consists of individuals with various backgrounds and interests who dedicate time and hard work to coordinate events throughout the year. They plan social parties, art auctions, educational programs, and meet-and-greets with the artists at the museum and throughout the Tampa Bay area. The goal is to share amazingly affordable art and promote emerging local artists with others in the community.

Membership

As a member, you will receive:

• a quarterly publication, ArtMuse, with informative articles about the exhibitions and a complete calendar of events and upcoming activities
• invitations to all spectacular members' receptions for exhibitions and gala events
• discounts on purchases in your Guilders Museum Store (also on electronic shopping)
